Rest and stability

The individual is a young carer supporting his mother, who experiences both mental and physical health difficulties. His caring responsibilities have contributed to repeated school absences, widening gaps in learning, and increasing emotional strain. This is further compounded by his current living conditions.

For over a year, the young person has been sleeping on a broken bed, resulting in poor sleep quality. This has a direct impact on his concentration and ability to engage in school. The grant will provide a suitable new bed, improving both physical health and emotional resilience. It was also fund one to one tutoring to support the young person’s learning and engagement with education.
