Our grant will fund training workshops across Barking and Dagenham for young carers, supporting their development into adulthood. The workships will focus on young carers aged 12-16 years and deliver 4 workshops covering money management including student loans, CVs, Social skills, further education and university options, volunteering and mentoring skills.

The workshops will be offered to young carers in transition at school years 9 to 11 it will help them to think about their future and plan for the future.

Your funding helped to make a difference to young carers lives and we find trips and fun activities are particularly useful to bring young carers together giving them a break from their caring role alongside other young people who have the tacit knowledge of being a young carers.
