Helping young survivors to heal

Moray Rape Crisis provides specialist support those who have experienced sexual violence, including rape, sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse.

The funding will support the Rise Up project, which provides tailored therapeutic and advocacy support for young survivors aged 11–18. Through regular one-to-one sessions, group activities and practical advocacy, young people are supported to process trauma, develop healthy coping strategies and navigate the criminal justice process where appropriate. The service uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, incorporating creative therapeutic methods.

By providing long-term, specialist support, the project will help young survivors recover from the impact of abuse and improve their wellbeing, relationships and future opportunities.
